Product Description |
|
This is the only air purifier that combines the top six technologies into one unit: true HEPA filter for dust and allergens, germicidal UV Lamp to destroy micro-organisms, activated carbon filter for chemicals, smoke, odors, ionizer for particles and bacteria, programmable sanitizer for odors, and anti-bacterial pre-filter for larger particles. Tests show that true HEPA filters (recommended by the Dept. of Homeland Security) are more effective than any other type of air filter at capturing dust, pollen, ragweed, dust mites, mold spores and other allergens. The germicidal UV light air purification, which destroys micro-organisms, is recommended by the U.S. Centers of Disease Control (CDC). Furthermore, according to Penn State Dept. of Aerobiological researchers, carbon filters serve to remove odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and chemicals that other filters cannot. The Multi-Tech has multiple technologies for pollutants such as cigarette smoke and other odors, including the activated carbon filter, ionizer and programmable sanitizer. The Multi-tech seeks and destroys pollutants across the room with its negative ion air purification system. The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture found negative ion air purification (ionizers) to be 99% effective at removing airborne dust and particles. Under normal circumstances, Multi-Tech replacement costs will run just $25 to $50 per year (for replacement filters and UV lamp each year). Use of the Multi-Tech will only add a few dollars or so per month to your power bill. Its powerful fan increases air-cleaning efficiency by effectively moving the air. Even with the fan setting on high, the Multi-Tech is very quiet. The Multi-Tech air purifier has been awarded ETL safety certification and is maintenance free.

Very happy

| Had my 'c' model for a bit now and I am very happy, the bedroom is definitely clearer and I am waking up much more refreshed and less congested. The unit is well built and quiet. I researched the difference between the 'c' and 'e' model and found they are identical except the 'c' has an added feature which is an ionizer booster control. The 'c' was only slightly higher in price, less than ten bucks, and I liked that feature so I chose the 'c' model. I shopped around on the internet and found the price range was large, with this price from Amazon being in the middle, I actually found the unit for 108 and it arrived in 2 days! Shop around a bit and you will save even more. Looks like Amazon has the edge on the replacement filter and UV lamp though- but they are designed to only be replaced yearly with everyday use. |
Same as D Fraser, am also very happy.

What D Fraser said!! Also ended up buying stright from manufacturer for less then Amazon, although I paid almost $20 more then Fraser. Shipping from the manufacturer was free and fast via Fed Ex. Using in bedroom, seems to help with dog dander allergy (am on day 40 of the "100 day cough" and now developing asthma, ugh) and night time breathing is better and the room smells better. I think I'll buy another one for the living room of the house. Very happy with purchase.
I think the "D" model is the same as "C" except the "D" appears to have a slightly larger fan. |
Great value for the money

| Great value for the money, this unit is nice and compact. For the amount of square footage that it covers, this air purifier takes up very little space compared to what's out there in the market. It also comes w/ an option for UV light and ionizer that you can choose to turn on/off. |
Best value 5+ years running strong 24x7

| This is an amazing deal I've had $5K air filters that performed similar to this filter. When I bought my first XJ- 30000 5 years ago they were going for 500 to 300 dollars I imagine the technology or scale has made them less expensive to make. Don't be fooled by those expensive air filters from evergreen or direct sales companies the mark up on them is 200x. Although this unit is not made in the USA what electronic gadget is these days? Highly recommend to eliminate mold and mildew from basements and in high humidity climates. |

| We just had five litters of puppies and we needed an air cleaner and deodorizer. This does a good job, not great, but I am very pleased with it for the price. I know that our whole house would not have been pleasant without it. |
