air-purifiersWhat would be your answer, if a person came to you and asked,  “Why do I need an air purifier?” How can you answer this question? Well, people who have asthma or any other chronic breathing conditions know the answer, but for those who only suffer from seasonal allergies or live in a dirty home, including smokers, the answer may not come that easily. First of all, let’s talk a little bit about the quality of air that we breathe each day. Namely, the researches have shown that our whole environment is full of dangerous chemicals, pollutants, and even natural airborne contaminants like pollen, dust and pet dander. And that’s not all. The worst thing is that these factors can actually cause a lot of trouble to people, especially those who suffer from allergies and asthma.

Yet, the problem is that many people who don’t show symptoms of suffering from poor air quality believe that it is not going to affect them. They still don’t realize, in fact, that they are also exposed to danger of it. For example, doctors have been able to link some types of cancer to poor air quality. Therefore, although you don’t have runny eyes or you may not be sneezing or suffering from shortness of breath, a more serious condition may be growing from the lack of clean air all around us.

And now that we have discovered what the harmful side effects of poor air quality are, it is good to understand that having a quality air purifier in your house can prevent this. Due to the technology that has advanced a lot nowadays, an air purifier can be put to use in almost any place, such as your home, office and even in your car. Besides, in relation to this topic, it should be pointed out that the average home gets more harmful airborne pollutants inside than it can prevent them from entering the home. A large number of people think that just because they have sealed their doors and windows properly, they secured them from being filled with allergens or other airborne contaminants.

Still, it is a completely wrong idea. Actually, the particles can attach themselves to our clothes and body while we are outside and when we get back into our house we release them back inside, thinking that we are now protected from the harmful outside contaminants. In order to make this clearer, the statistics show that some homes have up to six times more airborne pollutants inside, then the surrounding environment outside.

Any family that has small kids really has to consider buying a quality air purifier, especially if you have pets or a smoker in the house. However, if surrounded by smokers, growing children are more exposed to developing asthma, chronic ear infections, and numerous other illnesses in future,  which can all be reduced by providing an air purifier in your home. Furthermore, older people benefit a lot from breathing in healthy, purified air.

Some people are not really sure whether they really need an air purifier or not.  Some others claim that it is not necessary to have it, because they use medicine to keep things like allergies and asthma in check. However, having a quality air purifier in your home, you not only keep these same things in check, but you also help prevent them from even starting.
