Prevent Allergy Symptoms with Air Filters
If you are one of those people who desperately try to fight against allergies, or have big problems with asthma, then it’s high time you started thinking of providing your home with a house air filter purifier. After a while you will realize how big changes it made to you and your health.
Nowadays, there are many various models on the market and you may find it hard to choose the model which will best suit your needs. Hence, you are recommended to take certain things into consideration before you make a purchase of a particular air filter.
The filter you have chosen should be very effective in eliminating mold, pollen, dust mites, cat dander, dust particles, some viruses and bacteria as well. The best types of filters on the market today are HEPA filters. These filters are designed in such a way that they can remove particles as small as 0.3 microns, meaning that your air will be clean and released of these irritants.
There is one very important thing about air filters that can have a huge impact on your air quality. It is the frequency of replacing your filters. It means that you need to change your filters regularly, especially if you are very sensitive to dust and other harmful particles. If you don’t do that so frequently, your filter might become clogged and ineffective at blocking and stopping dangerous pollutants.
The filter should be removed with utmost care, as it may happen that you do that aggressively, so you will throw topped particles back again into the atmosphere. It would be best to bring a trash bag as close as possible to where the filter would be removed. Remove filter very slowly and place it in the back, sealing the back before you move. Those who are extremely sensitive to dust and other contaminants should wear a dust mask while doing this.
Whichever model of an air house filter you choose, make sure it can remove up to 0.3 microns minimum. You should leave your air purifier turned on as much as you possibly can. This way sufficient air would be processed through the unit thus making your air cleaner. However, if you need to filter a large area in your home, you will need more purifiers.
