Really Quite Impressive

I purchased the A600 in lieu of the more expensive models (A700 and A710) because they are functionally identical, they just ship with different filter packages.

The A600 is capable of using the higher rated filter(s) from the 700 and 710 (both the Carbon Pre-Filter AirTamer High Efficiency Germ-Odor-Virus Protection Air Filter - 2 Pack and "Ultra Efficient" AirTamer Ultra High Performance Pleated Filter, 1 Pack so don't feel bad about getting the lower rating initially.

The packaging is simple and effective, and the instruction manual is clear and well printed, though definitely not needed -- there's two sets of buttons on the top, one row for power & speed and one for time delay.

At the low speeds 1-3, it's very quiet. Speed 1 is indiscernible from ambient noise. Speeds 4 and 5 are relatively loud. However at 4 the sound fades into the background after a while, while 5 is pretty much the "I'm not here, clean the air buddy" speed -- it's very loud.

Now the real important thing is: how well does it work? My initial impression is *very good* I recently adopted a feral cat, and I'm quite allergic to him (seriously, what we're we thinking adopting a cat?). So far I'm breathing easier, much easier.

I'll try to update this review in a month's time to give a long term assessment.
